As is our custom at the Lake Angelus Yacht Club, the racing season was scheduled to start on the first Sunday of June. With the cold, rainy spring many boats were not yet in the water. So we targeted the second Sunday. As the day approached, there was concern that the predicted mid-day thunderstorms would affect this kick-off race. Sunday morning the Commodore kept a close eye on the weather predictions. Initially thunderstorms were predicted for 12 noon, so he proposed a rain delay until 1:00 pm. Unfortunately, the predicted rain was delayed, and the race was cancelled at 11:00 am.
